Bookings & first visit

How do I book my dog in for daycare?

Give us a call, text, or pop into the store: 0456 915 904. New dogs start with a 2-hour assessment booked over the phone.

What is a daycare assessment?

A 2-hour booking where every new dog comes in to make sure our environment is right for them — and to introduce them gently rather than dropping them into a full day cold. The fee is $40, or included free in the Starter Pack.

Can I drop in without booking?

For tours and questions, absolutely — come and visit any time during opening hours. For daycare itself, you'll need to be booked in so we can plan group sizes.

Which dogs you take

Do you accept all dog breeds?

Yes — all breeds, all sizes. We separate dogs into groups by size and play style so big bouncy dogs aren't with the little ones.

What's the minimum age?

Dogs must be at least 14 weeks old and have their required vaccinations up to date before attending.

My dog is not desexed — can they still come?

We prefer dogs 6 months and older to be desexed, but exceptions are made — particularly for larger breeds still developing. Your dog just needs to pass the assessment and not display dominance-mounting or erratic behaviour. Females in heat can't attend during that period. If an undesexed dog's behaviour changes over time, we'll reassess suitability.

What about puppies?

We take puppies from 14 weeks once they're fully vaccinated. Young dogs benefit massively from controlled socialisation — chat with us when you call and we'll talk through whether your pup is ready.

My dog is reactive on lead. Is daycare a no-go?

Not necessarily. Lots of dogs present nervous or reactive on lead but settle once they're off it. The assessment is designed to find out gently. Tell us upfront when you call so we can plan accordingly.

Can my dog come if they have stitches or a skin issue?

No — dogs with stitches, bandages, open wounds, irritated skin, conjunctivitis, or any contagious condition can't attend. If something comes up, let us know at least 24 hours before their next booking so we can adjust.

Hours & logistics

What are your hours?

We're open Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm. Pick-up runs through to 5:30 sharp. We don't operate on weekends or public holidays.

Half day vs full day — what's the difference?

Half day is up to 5 hours (morning session ends at 12pm). Full day is up to 10.5 hours. Half days suit younger dogs or anyone still building stamina; full days are the standard daycare experience. Note: if your dog is booked for a morning half day and is still with us at 12:30pm, it automatically converts to a full-day rate.

What if I'm late for pick-up?

We get it — life happens. But our team needs to get home too. A $20 late fee applies from 5:30pm (up to 15 minutes after store close), then an additional $10 for every 10 minutes after that. Please do your best to collect on time.

Do you do pickup and drop-off?

Not at the moment. All daycare visits are owner-led pick-up and drop-off at the daycare entrance.

Where do I park?

Parking is available right outside on Upton Street, with overflow at the pet store next door. Daycare drop-off uses the dedicated entrance — we'll show you on the first visit. And yes, you walk past the pet store on the way out. We're not sorry.

What happens during the day

What will my dog be doing during the day?

Each day's activities are different, but the structure is consistent: play cycles, enrichment activities (puzzles, snuffle work, basic training practice), and proper rest time. The A day here page walks through it hour by hour.

Will someone be watching my dog?

Yes — every play zone is supervised on the floor by our daycare team. Not from a camera in another room.

What if my dog doesn't settle?

We give dogs time and try smaller groups or a quieter zone. If after the assessment we don't think daycare is the right fit, we'll tell you honestly rather than push it.

Are the spaces air-conditioned?

Yes — fully ducted air-conditioning across every play zone and the rest area. Gold Coast summer is no joke.

Packs & payment

Can I share a pack between my dogs?

Packs are linked to a household, not an individual dog. If you've got multiple dogs enrolled you can use pack visits across them — and multi-dog rates apply automatically.

What happens if I don't use all my pack visits?

Packs have expiry dates (shown on each pack on the pricing page). Visits don't roll over once a pack expires — that's how we keep the per-day rates lower than casual.

How do I pay?

Card, online via the booking system, or in person at pickup. Pack purchases go through our booking platform.

What if my dog injures another dog at daycare?

While we take every precaution to maintain a safe environment, the owner is responsible for any veterinary costs if their dog causes harm to another dog during daycare. Your contact details may be shared with the other owner to resolve the incident.

Bath & grooming

What grooming services do you offer?

We offer bath & blow-dry, bath with deshedding, ear cleaning, nail clips, teeth cleaning, trims around the bottom and eyes, and anal gland expression. All done while your dog is already with us for daycare.

Do I need to book grooming separately?

No separate booking needed. Just let the team know at drop-off or mention it when you call to book daycare. We fit grooming around the play and rest cycles so your dog isn't stressed.

How is bath pricing calculated?

Bath & blow-dry and bath with deshedding are priced by your dog's weight. Check the pricing page for the full breakdown by size.

Can I get grooming without daycare?

Grooming add-ons are available as part of a daycare day. Your dog gets a wash or trim between play and rest cycles — no extra trip needed.

Still got questions?

We're real people. Call or email and one of the team will get straight back to you.
