Bernie's Backyard is our fully air-conditioned, fully supervised daycare, tucked behind the pet store our family has run on the Gold Coast since 1996. Yes, we send you through the gift shop on your way out — grab a chew toy while your dog's still too tired to destroy it. All breeds, all sizes. Real trainers on the floor. No tricks, just a good day out for your dog.

Air-conditioned indoor zones, supervised at all times, separated by size and play style. Designed by people who actually know dogs.

A typical day

Play, enrichment, basic training practice, rest. We work in cycles so dogs don't get over-stimulated, and everyone gets a nap.

Pricing & packs

From $45 for a half day. Packs from 5 to 20 visits — the more often they come, the less you pay per day.

Our Waffle is obsessed with Bernie's! Every time we pick him up, he's noticeably better trained and more settled. He's got his little crew there and absolutely loves it. The fact he bolts out of the car and runs straight inside says everything.
